Feeling better between the flares
For children diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, I offer non-pharmacological, holistic support — nutrition, sleep, gut health, and supplements when appropriate — alongside the rheumatologist.
In-person in Central Florida. Telehealth anywhere in Florida.
You’ve been here before.
- Labs look “fine,” but your child doesn’t feel fine
- Fatigue, joint aches, or a foggy, off feeling between flares
- Medication side effects you’d like to buffer
- No one is asking about diet, sleep, or day-to-day nutrition
Four pillars, alongside your specialist team.
Nutrition
Vitamin D, iron, zinc, magnesium, and omega-3 levels are frequently low in autoimmune children and rarely measured. Some medications deplete specific nutrients too, and those are worth replacing on purpose.
Sleep
Chronic illness and poor sleep feed each other. Better sleep is one of the most direct ways to lower day-to-day symptom burden.
Gut health
Diet and gut comfort affect the background inflammatory tone your child feels every day, separate from the disease itself.
Supplements, when appropriate
Never as a substitute for prescribed treatment — and always checked against your child’s medications first.
Support the days between appointments.
A board-certified pediatrician with the time to look properly — working alongside your child’s rheumatologist or specialist, not replacing them.
- 1A full nutritional and lifestyle assessment, including sleep and gut health.
- 2Targeted labs to see what’s actually low, factoring in your child’s medications.
- 3Correct what’s low, with attention to how it interacts with prescribed treatment.
- 4A realistic, everyday nutrition plan built for a real child in a real family.
- 5Ongoing coordination with your rheumatology, GI, or endocrinology team.
A note on scope: my role is non-pharmacological support — nutrition, sleep, gut health, and appropriate supplements. I don’t diagnose autoimmune disease, replace your child’s specialist care, or advise stopping or adjusting prescribed treatment. That stays with your rheumatologist or specialist, and I work alongside them.
Let’s build the plan together.
